Jonny joins Lone Star Chemical from a varied background including professional services, operations analysis, and strategic consulting roles. Prior to joining Lone Star, Jonny was a Strategic Consultant focusing on organizational change and strategic planning/execution.

One of his favorite quotes (from Jocko Willink) he strives to live by is “It’s not what you preach, it’s what you tolerate”. This quote rings true in the myriads of businesses and people Jonny has worked with, we become what we tolerate not what we preach. More than anything, Jonny enjoys seeing those around him reach their full potential. He is known to care deeply for others but also hold very high standards for himself and those around him. Leading and mentoring others is a true passion and gift of Jonny’s.

Jonny holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in finance from Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. Jonny also holds his master’s in business administration from the Red McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas. If there are any concerns about his allegiances, he bleeds maroon.

Jonny is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Chartered Global Management Accountant, and is Certified in Strategic and Competitive Analysis. He also holds certificates in leadership profiling and succession management.

Jonny writes questions for the Institute of Management Accountants examinations and has received two awards for top exam performance from the same organization. Jonny also enjoys reading, writing, and discussing matters of substance and purpose.

Jonny is married to a woman well out of his league and they are raising three boys together in hopes that they would become men who seek good for the world and those around them. His family is heavily involved in their local church through various ministries.
