A team member who has been a mainstay for us, Imelda Rodriguez, our comptroller, has been a Lone Star Chemical employee for 14 years. Imelda’s great demeanor and good work ethic, not to mention her expertise in financial matters, has been a big plus for our organization.

Raised in Southern California (Orange County), Imelda spent the early part of her career in roles she performed for the United States Armed Forces, over a 17-year stretch. She got her start in accounting, and later took on duties doing logistics (in supply), serving as a purchasing agent, and working in Human Resources. This diversity in her training has made her a great asset for LSC.

In 2006 she moved to Texas, where she joined our organization in 2008.

Outside of work, Imelda enjoys traveling, especially destinations outside the United States. Devoted to her family, she spends as much time with them as she can – especially with her grandson.

Asked what she likes about working at Lone Star, Imelda doesn’t hesitate. “It’s a small, family-owned business where there is a strong emphasis on customer service,” she says. “Everyone is like family in this business.”
