ExxonMobil and Shell have adjusted their nominations for December propylene monomer to +$0.045 per pound.
Polystyrene pricing increased $0.03 per pound in September and is expected to go up another $0.02 per pound in October.
October monomer settled down $0.025 per pound this month to $0.675.
Propylene is expected to settle down 1-2 cents per pound in October. Homopolymer and Random Clarified Copolymers remain tight and in High demand.
Propylene monomer settled up $0.05 per pound to $0.70 in August
Most producers have pushed the price increase from June to July expecting to get an increase of $0.02-$0.04 per pound.
Polypropylene increased by $0.03 per pound June. most experts believe we will see another increase in July as producers prepare for plant turn arounds.
May Propylene settled down $0.01 per pound to $0.62 per pound.
April Propylene closed down $0.10 per pound to settle at $0.63. Most industry experts believe that we will see another $0.03-$0.05 per pound decrease in May.
